We are currently looking to add a PHP Developer to our Technology Team. The ideal candidate will have strong software development experience with the ability to translate business needs into rich software features. Viable candidates should feel comfortable with the SDLC process and be able to support of our web-based consumer interfaces. This position will base in Paramus, New Jersey office which is our U.S. Headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Create and modify existing applications
  • Work with users to determine requirements for smaller projects
  • Perform analysis to enhance existing programs
  • Develop new programs and enhancements to exiting programs
  • Document programming changes
  • Development includes custom development and configuring of third party or packaged application software
  • Provide periodic updates to project leaders and managers on status
  • Ensure the quality of developed and delivered processes and programs
  • Create and document IT and end user test scripts
  • Execute unit testing and participate in systems testing
  • Provide periodic updates to project leaders and managers on status
  • Provide support as necessary to applications and users within a functional area 
  • Work with other areas of IT to ensure operational readiness of systems
  • Provide support of existing eCommerce website
  • Work on ad-hoc Technology projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of 2-5 years of programming experience
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering
  • Understanding of security and web application performance
  • Experience with PHP
  • Frontend designs such as CSS, JavaScript, HTML or HTML5
  • Knowledge of DBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or DB2
  • Knowledge of webservers such as Joomla and Wordpress
  • Previous exposure to Zend is highly desirable
  • Experience working eCommerce and/or retail-based systems
  • Be able to work in an environment with shifting priorities
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as, part of a team
